New White Standing Seam Metal Roof For Our East Nashville, TN Customer

This was one of our first Standing Seam Metal Roof projects we did almost three years ago. Customer wanted a classic looking design in a metal roof. We used a color called Vintage White with the standing seam design. This had low profile crips in the design so it is not fully flat. We had to install all new decking on this home due to very old slat decking that we were unable to use.

This Standing Seam Metal Roof took us roughly two days due to the unique challenges of working with an old home. Slat decking causes waves on metal roofs, so we installed all new 4x8 decking boards. I do not like adding wood strips under metal panels because many times I have had to fix them due to wind ripping them off the roof. So after installing all new underlayment and ice&water-shield for metal roofs, we installed it directly onto the new decking. This is a manufacture requirement!

This is a thick 19 gauge Standing Seam Metal Roofing System. We only use this thick of metal to keep the 100 year guarantee on metal materials. The paint has a 30 year guarantee before fading. This is the last roof the customer will ever need, unless tornado three comes to town. In that case, home owner insurance will replace this metal roof.
