The old vinyl siding on this building was falling off and the wood behind it was rotting out. The metal trims were damaged, and a lot of water was getting behind their underlayment over time. The owner decided to give us a call, and have the entire buildings siding, window capping, fascia capping, and trim changed to these new colors. This is a business in Nashville, Tennessee Called Glaser Instruments, and they wanted to make their building more appealing when customers are visiting to get their guitars repaired or upgraded.
Under the old siding was asbestos siding. We are unable to remove the old asbestos siding, so we covered it with Kingspan Fan Fold that added insulation, making it safe to work around. We were able to switch out some framing on the addition of the building. This new siding is a Clapboard/Straight Lap 4" Vinyl Siding in the color of "Tuscan Olive". The metal trim color around the windows is called "Misty Shadow". We covered the fascia boards in white metal because the gutters going up next are white as well. We then installed white "Hidden Vented" Soffits to match the white metal and white gutters.
There are many ways to design your home with many colors to choose from. This customer wanted a "Nature" feel to the building. These colors were special order items, so it took us three almost four weeks to get these colors. Installation on this project took a week. We were delayed a week due to major rain that never seemed to end. Installing new framing delayed us about a day. But everything else ran smoothly! We will be doing more vinyl siding in Nashville Tennessee so stay tuned!
