This home owner wanted to fix many issues that the previous siding installers had created. Due to a lot of missing flashing and house-wrap, there were many leaks into the siding of the home damaging the windows, sheathing, and roof.
Due to the amount of damages, and wanting a new freash look to the home, the owner decided to replace the entire home with a color called "Evening Blue" with white trim boards. The old siding was smooth, they wanted to add a cedar texture to the design to keep a classic look. We painted the old window trim to keep the history of the home and added the new 3" trim boards around all windows to make them look bigger. This is keeping the classic East Nashville, Tennessee look!
We installed new 6" Seamless Gutters with Oversized Downspouts around the entire home to match the white trims. Due to the old gutters having 9" nailers, we are unable to use those once we take them out. If we tried to install those back into the new fascia boards, there is a high chance we would break the new fascia boards.
In the front room on the right, we took out all the sheathing and installed all new insulation R-30 to keep the room cooler in the summer, and hotter in the winter. They had a problem due to Tennessee weather. It has made a huge difference in their air conditioning bills.
