All New James Hardie PRIMED Siding Then PAINT For Our Friends In Franklin Tennessee

The customer just moved from Texas, and wanted all new siding on their home in Franklin, Tennessee. They had old LP siding, which was crumbling off their home in many areas. It looked like this LP siding was just compressed wood that absorbed a lot of water. It was painted many times, but that did not save it for moisture issues. So we installed the FULL Primed James Hardie Cedarmill Siding System.
This primed yellow looking siding is not completed. They are about to paint it all black. This yellow siding is built to be painted (will upload photos soon once painted). This makes it easy for the painters, and cheaper for the siding install. Depending on the painter, we caulk and seal all areas just like we would any James Hardie Siding color. The customer wanted to keep the metal window trim, which will be painted as well. We added new chimney flashing for James Hardie Siding, which will keep the chimney framing and siding safe. As you can see in the photos, we keep the metal flashing 1"-2" off the roof line so it will not have moisture issues in the future.
Behind all lights, spouts, and electrical outlets (as long as they are up to date and fit) we install SturdiMounts that make the home really stand out (see the two mounts behind the two lights by the front door). These can be painted, or some customers just keep them white. We also had to replace almost all the 4'x8' sheathing. This home had 1/4" insulation over studs of the wall, and James Hardie Siding requires sheathing to be mounted correctly. The James Hardie Siding Panels are very heavy, and need to be smooth when installing. This can not work without a solid foundation.
